Accessibility
Last updated August 21, 2026
This site should work for everyone who needs a dumpster, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard, or a phone in bright sunlight. That is a commitment, not a checkbox.
What was done
- Every text and background pairing was measured against WCAG 2.2 AA rather than eyeballed. The contrast ratios are recorded in the project's design system.
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard.
- A visible focus outline is shown wherever focus lands, including on dark and green backgrounds.
- There is a skip link to the main content as the first focusable element.
- Form fields have real labels, and errors are announced rather than shown by color alone.
- Headings run in order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
- Assistant answers are announced politely as they arrive.
- Motion respects the reduced motion setting on your device.
- Automated accessibility tests run on every change, and block a release on a serious failure.
Where it may still fall short
Automated tests catch a good share of problems, not all of them. If something here does not work for you, that is worth knowing about and it will be fixed.
